DUBAI – Host Natalia Kapchuk takes FashionTV to the Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai for the Firdaws fashion show done under the patronage of the First Lady of the Chechen Rebublic, Medni Kadyrova. Kadyrova is the wife of Ramzan Kadyrov. Firdaws, or Paradise, is splashy but with unique pieces done in the style of traditional Islamic dress. The line, called “Chechen Lady,” is full of long sleeve and floor grazing gowns in velvet, crepe, silk, and other fabrics with colors that range from pastel and bright to metallic and embroidered with crystals and pearls. Kadyrova’s goal is to conquer the world of Middle Eastern fashion. On hand for the big event, stars like designer Zuhair Murad who recently showcased his own haute couture line in Paris, and singer Najwa Karam, dressed by Murad.
